The Black Carers Project is delighted to announce the recent recruitment of a new Development Officer Vanessa McLean.

Following a successful bid for funding from Bristol City Council, Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, Vanessa’s role will be to support carers and provide information and advice, regarding their health and well being (and indirectly their families).

Over the next 18 months Vanessa will be primarily supporting BME Carers in Easton and Lawrence Hill Wards. The aim of the Intervention (or Project) is to improve the quality of life for BME carers and improve access to information about services and healthier living as well as meeting culturally sensitive health needs.
